harris from north uist
I love when a shaft of light picks me out on a stormy day, as it did here on North Uist a couple of weeks ago.

Absolutely where I want to be right now. This is so beautiful. Love how you've captured the sea from behind the grasses and dunes. Incredible beautiful and so well captured.
David from Skye: Many thanks Sherri- the sea is only a few feet deep for several miles here, even the ferry has a flat bottom!
Lovely tones & light: hast thou tweaked this..
David from Skye: Oooo, maybe just a wee bit!- Lightroom is my preferred developer now and has some fine control. Thanks Dave.
Wonderful drama going on here. Interesting colour selections.
David from Skye: Thank you Kay ( I always think my sister has blogged me when your name appears!
What a beautiful scene and super dramatic sky.
David from Skye: Many thanks Michael- being on the Atlantic edge means the weather is often very dramatic in the Hebridean Islands!
Wonderful dramatic sky David...hope you had a big umbrella!
David from Skye: Thanks Brian- just got back to the car in time!
Lovely, lovely, lovely - exactly my type of photo. And guess what, there are places around here which look just like that. Even that sort of sky sometimes!
David from Skye: Thank you Sheila- I suppose it must rain in Spain sometimes, but you will never get winds like the Hebrides!
oh so wonderful David, fantastic scene brilliantly captured
David from Skye: Many thanks Tim, and your most recent isn't half bad either! Well thought out, cropped and exposed.
That's what we would call a wicked sky, as in evil, David and it goes so well with the foreground. Very strong shot.
David from Skye: Thanks Brian- I just made it back to the car before the heavens opened! The wether here whizzes in from the Atlantic and you only have about ten minute's warning!
Man, the lighting here is just too perfect! Fantastic.
David from Skye: Thanks Karima, and I enjoyed your green randomness too!
wow, so much drama in one shot, color scheme is amazing, great job
David from Skye: Many thanks Viktor, and your current image is amazing too!
Simply beautiful - the light is stunning and the sky full of drama. Love it.
Ingrid
David from Skye: Thank you again Ingrid- I trust your judgement, so this may go in the show?
Oh I wish I standing right there taking this shot! Super colour palatte, super seascape.
David from Skye: I wish you were too!
I like your work more and more...I will be back again and again.
David from Skye: Thank you for the compliment Gabor, and now I have found you I will come back again also!
