bog cotton carpet
We have had a drought up here for the last month (actually 43 days continuous without rain)  so why, of all the wild plants, should this bog cotton be having it's most profuse year ever, when all the bogs it grows in are bone dry?!  It is everywhere just now, much, much more than normal- this was taken today just 100 yards from my back door.
PS- it has finally rained today!
