What stunning light - the heavy slate grey sky and golden yellow grasses are a match made in heaven.

David from the Hebrides: Thanks Linda- the weather here is very dramatic and heavy laden skies like this are commonplace. I'm very very busy renovating my new house (it's actually an old church!) so apologies for not replying sooner.

Wonderful, David. What an incredible island you live on. You are back in full form. smile
David from the Hebrides: Thanks again Suzanne- it is one of those locations that isn't classically attractive but gets into your soul, so images are very personal- in fact, just like your work, so you must know what I mean!!

Stunning. I love the contrasting colors and elements. Just beautiful.
Glorious light. I think your new home will be a photographer's paradise.
David from the Hebrides: Many thanks Ian- your Honister shot brings back memories of both my Lake District honeymoons!!!
I can understand that this is one of the reasons for moving.
Now you have to start afresh with a new gallery?
David from the Hebrides: Hi Sheila- one of the main reasons for buying the church is that it is literally next door to the gallery where I have always sold my work- in fact, the gallery is the (converted) coach house to the big house which used to be the manse (vicarage) to this church! I shall be managing the gallery for most of next year as the owner wants to do some more drawing and painting than she usually can get done.

Amazing beauty what I see.
When did you take this photo? I mean is this an autumn snapshot?
I will look up after the weather conditions of this place...I really would like to see it once with my own eyes...
