Silver seas at Luskentyre

Hah!! I have just got my broadband connection after seven long lonely months and can now upload and view Shutterchance again!! To celebrate, here is one of about a thousand images I have taken since I last "appeared" here.
I have moved home to a different island and now live on the Isle of Lewis, to be nearer scenes like this!

welcome back David - how many people move to a new island to get their broadband connection back?
David from the Hebrides: Extreme, I know, but worth it to be in my true spiritual home at last- Skye was just a stepping stone! Thanks for looking in again after all this time Paul.

Long time no see - welcome back! I was wondering what had happened to you - 7 months without broadband - that is an eternity! Fabulous picture - I particularly like that line of silver on the horizon.
Ingrid
David from the Hebrides: Cheers Ingrid, and thanks for popping in again- I was wondering if anyone would remember me!! Yup, it was awful not having broadband- sounds geeky but true! Now looking forward to seeing all your archive and everyone elses too!

I will have to find a new name for you. You're not David from Skye anymore. I've missed your images of Skye very much. I'm not as familiar with Lewis but I'm sure you will work your magic and if this is an example, we're in for a treat.
David from the Hebrides: Thank you so much for remembering me Mary- I was worried that all my SC friends would be gone so it was overwhelming to get such a lovely welcome back. I will be going through everyone's archives now!
This is stunning.
David from the Hebrides: Many thanks Linda- hundreds more where that came from!
and great to see you back David, missed your landscapes and here's another stunning scene superbly captured smile
David from the Hebrides: Thanks for looking in again Tim after such a long gap in my posts- I shall check out your archive too ASAP!
Welcome back David, like others I had wondered where you had been all this time. What an image to return with. Now you can use your new broadband connection during the long winter evenings catching up with what you have misssed on SC.
David from the Hebrides: Thanks for the kind words Brian, and yes, as the winter daylight is very short up here, I shall be posting all this summer;s stuff!

Welcome back, my friend, to the show that never ends, we're so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside... smile
David from the Hebrides: Cheers Dave- I'm so glad all you good guys are still there! Sounds pathetic but I really missed my blogging! Looking forward now to searching through all your archives!
Welcome back, David... this one is worth the wait...
David from the Hebrides: Thanks for the welcome back Larry- I'm delighted you are all still in touch!
Great to have you, and your wonderful pictures, back David
David from the Hebrides: Thanks for looking in again after my (very exasperating) break Bill.I'm very very busy renovating my new house (it's actually an old church!) so apologies for not replying sooner.

Skye was just a stepping stone. Ahh well.

Welcome back to Shutter David I and look forward with great anticipation to see the delights of those favourite islands of mine.
This just makes me want to be there right now! Beautiful!
David from the Hebrides: Hello again my lovely friend- yes, Skye never tugged my heartstrings like this place always has! Now that I live here I shall be re-visiting all the best spots and waiting for the wild weather ( you never have to wait long for that!!) just like this shot which was taken on what had started out as a typical lovely day on the beach and turned black in just a few minutes. Do try to get back up here once more- I could show you some spectacular spots. Your last post, the hare bell triptych, is simply gorgeous. x

Welcome back David, you've been sorely missed. Cracking photo by the way. Sorry we didn't meet up - & sorry for not getting back to you, but glad you're back and can't wait to see more.
btw, Judging by my time on Skye how you have so many sunny photos is a mystery smile
David from the Hebrides: Thanks Andy and sorry I left Skye before you got there!! So it was a bit damp down at Elgol then?! I'm very very busy renovating my new house (it's actually an old church!) so apologies for not replying sooner.

How wonderful to have such beauty so nearby. This is truly breathtaking.
David from the Hebrides: Thanks Laurie- the weather changes here every ten minutes so camera is always to hand! I'm very very busy renovating my new house (it's actually an old church!) so apologies for not replying sooner.
Welcome back, David... please allow me to echo all the "worth the wait" comments already made above! I can tell that this is an exciting and fruitful environment for you. Cheers!
David from the Hebrides: Many thanks Alan- yes it certainly is spectacular, in between the mad wild weather!! I'm very very busy renovating my new house (it's actually an old church!) so apologies for not replying sooner.
Welcome back, and what a scene to come back with.
I just now realize that one of my favourites photoblog is active again since this photograph.
