heading out

Another that I will be adding to my series on the small boats of the Hebrides. This is West Loch Tarbert with the island of Taransay in background, from Ardhasaig on the Isle of Harris. A small boat heads out in very changeable weather!

one of your best imho
David from the Hebrides: Thank you Paul- I'm glad you approve as it conveys the typical mood of Hebridean life, weather and sea very well.

I cold stare at ths for hours. Beautiful
David from the Hebrides: Many thanks Andy. It's time we saw some Welsh coast shots from you now- I want to know that fine camera is still producing quality images! wink
The imensity of the landscape almost dwarfs the little boat David, but so much atmosphere in this one.
David from the Hebrides: Thank you Brian- I'm glad the special atmosphere comes across.

This is just spellbinding and so soothing to look at. I agree with Sheeplover - I could just gaze at this for hours. (:o)
Lovely stuff! That light is superb indeed, David.
David from the Hebrides: Many thanks Dave- I actually can't decide what to do- (I have been offered good gallery space for a month's show, and I want better initials after my name!) I want to do a photo-essay on the boats but my "strength" seems to be taking the weather. If you don't mind me asking, what did you decide in the end about your experimental/exhibition shots, and did you do it to stretch yourself, to appeal to a market, or too play to your strengths?
